11 days Greece Turkey combine package tour program covers most popular places such as Athens, Pamukkale, Old city of Istanbul, ancient city of Ephesus.
- Starting Points: Greece/Athens
- Day 1 Athens
First day is your arrival into Athens International Airport, where you will be picked up and transferred to the hotel. Overnight in Athens.
- Day 2 Athens: Acropol Acropol
08:00 am depart on a half-day morning tour of Athens which includes a visit to the Acropolis, its museum and the Parthenon. Also view the House of Parliament, Memorial to the Unknown Soldier, National Library, Evzones in their picturesque uniform, Presidential Palace, the Panatheanic Stadium (where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896), Temple of the Olympian Zeus and Hadrian`s Arch. The afternoon is free to your own leisure for you to further explore Athens hidden secrets. (Optional afternoon tour to Cape Sounion to visit the Temple of Poseidon.) Overnight in Athens.
- Day 3 Santorini
Breakfast, check out and transfer to Piraeus Port for departure by morning ferry to Santorini. On arrival meet for transfer to hotel with rest of day at leisure. Overnight in Santorini. (Flights between Athens and Santorini are also available.)
- Day 4 Santorini
Free day at leisure to relax on one of the many different beaches of Santorini (gold, red or black sand) or explore the capital, Fira. Overnight in Santorini.
- Day 5 Istanbul
Flight to Istanbul via Athens. Overnight in Istanbul.
- Day 6 Istanbul: Hagia Sophia Museum, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, Sultanahmet Square, Blue Mosque Hagia Sophia Museum, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, Sultanahmet Square, Blue Mosque
Pick up from your hotel. You will visit the main attractions of Istanbul (capital of the Ottoman Empire untill 1923) by this full-day tour. The museum of St.Sophia; magnificent Byzantine church and the unique sample of Byzantine architecture, Blue Mosque; one of the biggest mosque of the Istanbul from 17th century and famous for its blue tiles and 6 minarets,The Ancient Hippodrome; the square in front of the Blue Mosque covers the site of the Ancient Hippodrome where once chariot races were held. The main monument left today is the impressive granite obelisk, carved in Egypt around 1,500 BC and brought to Constantinople in 390 AD. Our tour will continue with a visit to Topkapi Palace; it was once the residence of Ottoman sultans and their harem. We will finish the tour with a short drive to the exotic Grand Bazaar (Closed on Sundays and at Feast days). The oldest and largest market place in the world with the unique collection of handmade carpets, jewellery, leader and souvenirs. End of the tour return to your hotel and overnight in Istanbul.
- Day 7 Cappadocia: Devrent Valley, Goreme Open Air Museum, Uchisar Devrent Valley, Goreme Open Air Museum, Uchisar
Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Kayseri . Arrive in Kayseri or Nevsehir airport and transfer to Cappadocia for your tour. Visit Devrent Valley was under the water 20 million years ago, it rose up above the water after volcanic eruptions. After years and years, the rocks formed in a variety of different shapes. Then we will go to Pasabagi, also named Monks Valley (Rahipler Vadisi), you can see some special housing and living area here which are also only can be found in this area. After lunch in Avanos, we will visit Goreme Open Air Museum. Then we will continue to Esentepe where you can see the panoramic view of Goreme valley and Goreme village with fairy chimneys, different rock formations and cave houses. Finally, we will visit the natural rock castle in Uchisar, many rooms connected to anothers with stairs, tunnels or passages. End of the tour transfer to your hotel at Cappadocia. Overnight in Cappadocia.
- Day 8 Cappadocia: Oz Konak or Kaymakli Under Ground City, Red Valley, Cavusin Valley Oz Konak or Kaymakli Under Ground City, Red Valley, Cavusin Valley
Check out from hotel ; 09:30 am, depart from your hotel to visit Red valley, and explore the famous rock cut churches and walk 4 to 5 km through the Gulludere valley. Then visit Çavusvillage. This village is famous for the houses and churches of the Christian clergymen. After lunch drive to the Pigeon valley. In the afternoon visit Kaymakli underground city where early Christians lived in fear and faith. Transfer to the hotel Kayseri airport for flight to Izmir, meet at the airport, transfer to hotel in Kusadasi. Overnight in Kusadasi.
- Day 9 Kusadasi: Ephesus Ancient City, House of Virgin Mary, Temple of Artemis Ephesus Ancient City, House of Virgin Mary, Temple of Artemis
During the Ephesus full-day tour you will see the ruins in the ancient city of Ephesus, Temple of Artemis, Ephesus Archeology Museum and the House of Virgin Mary. Ephesus was once the most important commercial center of the western Anatolia. After lunch visit the House of Virgin Mary (reputed to be where she spent her final days). Overnight in Kusadasi.
- Day 10 Pamukkale: Hierapolis Ancient City Hierapolis Ancient City
In the morning you will visit the Hierapolis; Necropolis (cemetery) of Hierapolis which is one of the biggest ancient cemeteries in Anatolia with 1,200 graves, Roman Bath, Domitian Gate, the Main Street, Byzantian Gate. Then, you walk to the natural warm water terraces which were formed by running warm water that contains calcium. A swim in the effervescent waters of the Sacred Pool should be at the top of the list on any travel itinerary. In addition to a high level of natural radioactivity, the water contains calcium bicarbonate, calcium sulfate, magnesium and carbon dioxide and after a swim, you should simply dry off and let the minerals do their magic. Then we will proceed to the Kusadasi. Overnight in Kusadasi.
- Day 11 Istanbul
Transfer to Izmir airport and flight to Istanbul according to your international flight home. Have a safe trip back home!
